Not ready to call the season over yet? Looking for something to do next weekend? We’ve got just the thing for you! The Boater’s Olympics is an annual event held at The Harbour Grille. Each year teams of boaters compete in this massive multi-game olympiad, for prizes and just to have a great time.
The last time they hosted the Olympics was back in the pre-COVID days of 2019. Of course, because of the ‘rona, they were canceled last year, leaving us with an empty feeling where once there was joy. Now we are pleased to see they are coming back strong!
Here’s how it works:
Sign up by accosting a bartender at The Harbour Grille between now and November 20. Teams consist of 2 people (boaters or otherwise), and the fee is $20 per team. You can also call the bar at 703-548-0088 to get your names on the roster. Anyone can join!
Show up on Saturday, November 20 at 1PM with your teammate, ready to crush the competition!
You will be competing in 6 different events to gain points for your team:
- Flip-Cup
- Beer Pong
- Corn Hole
- Connect Four
- Giant Jenga
- Knot Tying
And the end, points will be tallied up and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be announced! Prizes include a Gift Basket with all kinds of goodies (hint: Jameson is a sponsor), a big yard game, and even gift cards to The Harbour Grille!
This event is always a high-octane party, and is huge fun whether you are competing or just watching the craziness, so don’t miss it this year!
