It’s that time of the season once again for one of the most legendary of raft-up parties on the Potomac, and a little rain doesn’t seem to make any difference at all! Also, this weekend looks to be clearing up so get out there!
If you’ve never been to a B-a-P raft-up party, there’s some things you need to know:
- Be prepared to raft up by bringing plenty of lines and fenders
- The party isn’t necessarily for kids, so you might want to hire a sitter or hit up your family
- Be prepared to party your face off 🙂
This year, to celebrate their 10th Anniversary, a “dress-up” party is planned for Saturday at sundown. This doesn’t mean you should bring your tux (unless you are into that kinda stuff), but more like crazy costumes, masks and stuff. Use your imagination.
Getting there is easy, because Belmont Bay is right off the Potomac River, close to Leesylvania State Park. Just head into the Occoquan River channel, and look to your right! You can view the event page HERE too!
