State Streets Band

The State Streets Band is a 8-piece band from Woodbridge, Virginia that is composed of a five man rhythm section and a three piece horn section. This group focuses its sound on the extremely memorable music from the Blues, Motown and Classic Rock genres.

Some members of the band have performed as sidemen for some local blues legends such as Robert Lee Byrd (a.k.a. Byrd), Darryl Davis, John Jackson, and William “Whop” Frazier, as well as world class artists like John Lee Hooker, Jr., Marian McPartland, The Four Tops, and Okyerema Asante(Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simon, Hugh Masakela).
