Up the Occoquan River from the Potomac in Woodbridge, there’s a rather large marina called Prince William Marina. Every year they put on a Christmas Boat Lighting Show for the general public. This year it will be held on December 9. If you’ve never been to one of these before, you really need to attend this year. Prince William Marina really does it up good! There’s free refreshments and fireworks, and you’ll see some of the most extravagantly decorated boats you’ve ever dreamed of. This is a show that is not to be missed!
Should you desire, you can also bring a toy (new, unwrapped) to help fill up the marina’s “Boatload of Hope,” which they use to work with Prince William County for distribution to families needing a little extra help this Christmas. It’s a great cause!
Judging Starts at 5pm, and there will be an awards ceremony at 7PM, followed by a world class fireworks show! If you have kids, Santa will be there too!
