This hidden treasure on the Potomac River serves all your seafood favorites, including fresh crabs, oysters, scallops, shrimp, mussels, and fish, as well as steaks, burgers, and pulled pork and chicken sandwiches.

The waterfront restaurant sits on one of the widest points of the Potomac River and offers sweeping panoramic views of the river and beach area. The view can be enjoyed from inside the restaurant, the outdoor deck seating or the torch-lit tiki bar located next to the pier.

A large planned community known as Potomac Shores is currently being developed on the Cherry Hill Peninsula that has been home to Tim’s Rivershore for over 20 years. The mixed-use project will include 3.9 million square feet of office space, nearly 4,000 residential homes, an 18-hole Signature Jack Nicklaus golf course, a 450-slip marina, and its own VRE station.

Tim’s Rivershore is easily accessible by car and boat. It’s open year-round and hosts popular events for every season, such as the Annual Polar Plunge, the Potomac River Boat Poker Run, Roar at the Shore, Waterstock, Pirates on the Potomac, and Not on the 4th Fireworks. Tim’s is also available for private events and offers catering services.

If you’re coming by car, Tim’s is located at the end of Cherryhill Road in Dumfries, Virginia. By boat, Tim’s is just south of Leesylvania State Park and north of Possum Point, across the river from Mattawoman Creek.

You can use the 400-foot pier (line handlers on pier are available to assist on weekends), or you can drop anchor and ride the free Rivershore Shuttle from your boat to the shore. If you’re coming by plane, please land in the water.
